Re: Yelling coach

I agree globally with what you say, but the problem with Pitino is also a bit like the "boy who cried wolf" syndrome. Eventually veteran players will start blocking out even useful information. One risk of constantly yapping so many control-freakish orders from the sidelines is that the core message can disappear amidst all that noise. Successful execution within no-zone NBA basketball rules probably does not require a constant
barrage of information overload. None of us would perform any better on an upcoming spelling test if our "coach" insisted that we prepare for it by memorizing the collected works of William Shakespeare. I appreciate the complexity of basketball, but it isn't exactly rocket science either.

Players who cannot adapt to their coaches will not be great players. Yes, the coach needs to step up and improve, but this is a two-way street. Not going to try hard because the coach yelling is hurting your feelings? You will never be a great player.

That's called being a man. If you are going to whine because the coach treats you like a boy, then you are only proving you are one. Rise above.
