Yesterday, there were more rumbles from NBA
sources that the Celtics simply got cold feet
after dealing Danny Fortson, and the $2.2 million
(U.S.) salary cap savings he represents, to
Toronto for Williams and Marks.
Several sources, both management and players,
raised their eyebrows at news the trade had been
rescinded.
``Boston must have something better in mind, I
know they were getting killed for the trade back
home,'' said one official on a Western Conference
team.
