      Fortson rumors swirl
Members of Danny Fortson's family aren't the only ones noticing he
hasn't
been playing all that much (six minutes last night). NBA clubs are
wondering what's up with last season's fourth-leading rebounder, and
some
are calling the Celts to express interest.
In one such case, the Pistons - a club desperately in need of some
interior toughness - came looking for Fortson. The discussion
essentially
ended when the Celtics said the price would be Jerome Williams.
(Believe it or not, Pervis Ellison's name also came up when the Pistons
      talked with the Celts.)
Fortson's new agent, Raymond Brothers, was in town this week to check
on
things. He has talked to the Celts about a new contract for his client,
who will be a free agent this summer, but he did not hook up with
general
      manager Chris Wallace.
``I just came to watch Danny practice and talk to the Celtics and see
what's going on,'' Brothers said. ``That's it.''
