Re: ANDERSON??

Happy Holidays Major.

Pitino wanted to put Kenny on IR because he's still not in playing shape
yet. So after their most recent loss, he said he wanted to make the move
because it wasn't fair to Kenny to put him out there in his current
condition. However, due to Herren's injury, Randy Brown's recurring groin
injury and the relative unfamiliarity of Palacios to Pitino's system, he
decided to play him in short spurts of approximately 4 minutes.

Good point about Walker, who has been playing well of late except for being
prone to the turnovers. If you toss aside the Bulls debacle, he has
averaged 20.8 ppg, 14 rpg, 6 apg and 1.6 spg. Those numbers compare
favorably with the NBA's elite.

You must understand that a segment of this list have already decided that he
must go regardless of how well he plays based off the inconsistency of the
team in general. His passion for the game and his talent mean little to
some so long as he does that dispicable wiggle and makes foolish decisions
with the ball as he is prone to do from time to time. But I don't think it
is a case of him being selfish. I think he believes he is capable of
beating the doubleteam when the smarter thing to do is make the pass out of
it immediately. He'll get it, and when he does, he will be beautiful to
watch.

Paul Pierce, over the same 6 games has averaged 24.5 ppg, 5.6 rpg, 3.1 apg
and 2 spg. Together, he and Toine could form a formidable duo for years to
come if they are allowed to grow together. I think Battie is showing signs
of emerging from his lethargy last year and Stith, obviously has been very
consistent. If not for the injury bug, I would not be surprised if their
record was reversed. Considering that they lost by 2 to the Knicks, by 2 in
Philly, by 4 vs Minny and by 3 in Orlando, all while Kenny and Herren have
been injured.

Anyway, it will be interesting to see how they play in Milwaukee tomorrow.

Subject: ANDERSON??

> Can anyone tell me what happened? I read that Anderson was put on the
injured list and yet I see his name in the score box each day? Also, I
don't think Walker is getting the credit he deserves. Even when we lose
he's been putting up huge rebounding and assist numbers. Complain when he
doesn't play well but praise him when he does. Lets keep a balanced
approach.
