C's Like Harrington

Is Harrington anything more than an average or decent power
forward? And how much better would he make the Celtics?
And why ask why, when you're dealing with Pitino...

Harrington a possibility

According to sources, the Celts have tried extremely hard to get in the
sweepstakes for Vancouver power forward Othella Harrington, but the
Grizzlies have been looking elsewhere. However, if the Celtics would be
willing to discuss making its first-round draft pick from Denver
available, word is the Canadian club would most definitely belly up to
the bar for further talks.

Harrington is attractive on a couple of counts. The Celts like his tough
game, and he makes just $2.25 million this year and has four more
seasons beyond this at reasonable money (it tops out at $3.15 million in
2004-05). But Harrington also has an option to terminate his contract in
the summer of 2003, which he will almost certainly exercise.
