New era
It seems to me, a casual fan, that lots of folks have really misjudged
the marketplace in the NBA. Mercer is example #1, and now Mark brings up
Maurice Taylor, who scoffed when the Clippers didn't give him the max.
Indeed, I have read virtually nothing about Taylor, who I thought might be
one of the prime free agents. Others have signed for various exceptions. In
this regard, it looks like Pot was a pretty good catch at his salary, while
we went overboard with Battie and Williams. (yeah, we didn't ink Williams to
his contract, but you get the point.)
And with the long-term contracts, folks will pay for mistakes for a long,
long time to come.
Does this mean that the new CBA is working as everyone intended?
