Well, to make it sound more dramatic, Walker score those 42 in 23 minutes
after fighting LA traffic to get to the game late. He scored the winner with
Pierce right in his face. Here is the article.

Walker fashionably late
By Sean Kearns
Staff Writer
By the time Antoine Walker fought through Los Angeles traffic to the Veterans
SportsComplex in Carson on Saturday afternoon, the Nike Real Run championship
game was already at halftime.
With barely any warmup, however, Walker stepped onto the court and scored 42
points in 23 minutes. That included the game-winning 3-pointer with three
seconds left to lead 310 Motoring over the Blue Devils and Celtics teammate
Paul Pierce, 133-131.
You have a cliche, `That's what you expect a pro to do,' " said Walker's
teammate and former UCLA guard Kris Johnson. But you don't expect him to do
that."
It was the type of summer league game where more than 1,000 people will say
they were there the day Walker went for 42 in 23 minutes on Pierce's home
court.
Pierce also finished with 42, but he missed a 3-pointer at the buzzer that
would have won the game.
I told him how he let me come in his house and beat him," Walker said. "And I
beat him at the buzzer."
With 26 seconds to go, it looked like Pierce's Blue Devils had the game in
hand with a 130-124 lead. But in a frantic comeback, Walker scored nine of
the last 10 points in the game, all on 3-pointers.
Walker, in town for Magic Johnson's game today at UCLA, hit a 3-pointer from
the wing with 19 seconds left to get his team to within 130-127.
With 14 seconds left, Jason Crowe, Pierce's backcourt mate at Inglewood High
School, hit one of two free throws to put the Blue Devils up, 131-127. Then
Walker faced-up on Pierce and hit a straightaway 3-pointer with 10 seconds
left to make the score 131-130.
The ensuing inbounds pass was tipped as it went to Crowe and a group of
players dove for the loose ball, including Walker. Johnson and Crowe both
reached the loose ball, resulting in a jump ball.
Johnson, who finished with 30 points, controlled the jump ball back to
Walker. With two players in his face, one of them Pierce, Walker hit a
fallaway 3-pointer with three seconds left.
Pierce's Blue Devils team also had Toby Bailey, who finished with 30 points.
Mike Batiste, who went to Arizona State, had 29 for the Blue Devils.
