Well it is salary cap do-able and Pitino is desperate. It would 
free up cap space when Hawkins retires after the season. It's
not the worst Walker deal I've seen. Imagine Chicago with
O'Neal, Brand, Walker, Mercer. and point guard X. Imagine the
Celtics freeing up $11 million in cap space after the season.

The Score radio in Chicago reported this morning that The Bulls and
Celtic's
are talking a trade that would send Walker to Chicago for Hawkins and
Fizer.
With Mercer having signed with Chicago he could be pressing Krause to
pull
the trigger on this deal.
