So the Celtics did not make the playoffs again ... If you listen to certain
fans and the media, this is the single darkest season in franchise history!
Seriously, some people give the impression that this is the lowest that the
team has ever been and ever will be; the entire roster should be dumped,
coach Pitino should be fired on the spot ... Basically, the WHOLE thing has
been one huge failure and it's time to just start over from scratch.
But what about next time?
What about the next time the Celtics don't make the playoffs? I mean, if you
start over with a whole new coach and roster, then it's obvious that
everyone won't be able to gel right away and Boston's record will suffer
accordingly.
So, what then? Is everyone going to get all impatient again and demand
ANOTHER overhaul? And then another, and another, and another ...
