On the Hot Seat	 

These coaches, 
meanwhile, have the least job security - even the ones who, 
more or less, are their own bosses (like Rick Pitino and Don 
Nelson). Remember, the bosses always have bosses.	 

1. Don Nelson, Mavericks. Reputation has gone from mad genius 
to certifiable nut. This edition is nowhere close to contending. 
His young additions include Leon Smith, a high schooler who isn't even 
emotionally ready for college, much less the pros; and Chinese 
import Zhi-Zhi Wang, who continues Nellie's infatuation with 
everything foreign.	
 
2. Rick Pitino, Celtics. What's he 
accomplished so far that M.L. Carr didn't? Besides throwing 
a ton of money at Antoine Walker and his dangerously inflated 
ego, that is? Of course, who knows dangerously inflated egos 
better than Rick himself?
