Celtics May Extend Battie and Fortson

Celtics GM Chris Wallace said in the Peter May's article today about
Pervis, that re-signing Battie and Fortson is something "they're
considering." The deadline is October 31, which gives Il Duce and
the lads a chance to see how Big Poppa Fortson (sorry Sports Guy) fits 
into the lineup.

It's probably a wise precaution to sign one of them, since the power
forward-needing Rockets with the Scottie Pippen trade have freed 
up a bundle of money (between $4 and $14 million) to use on free 
agents after the season. Battie or Fortson should interest them....
