Re: C's Caught From Behind! Again!: Atlanta 94- Boston 84

While it is true that the starters didn't execute down the stretch and didn't
win these last two games own their own, you have to agree that it was the
starters that developed the big leads in the last two games. Alot of the game
is psychological and when the other team is going on a run, it is difficult
to stop the momentum. You don't want to put yourself in a position where you
have a tight game at the finish. When a team thinks they have a chance, they
will try harder and give up more sweat and energy. That is why you try to win
the game earlier.

When Bird was playing, those 5 starters would practically play the whole game
because they had no bench. The game is the same. We haven't been pressing
hardly at all. The starters should be able to play a lot more. At least, the
rotation should be shortened. Pitino has in his mind what the team should
look like, most likely with a pressing unit. They did win the game for us
against the Pacers. However, they have sucked elsewhere. Pitino needs to
modify his style to match the game today and with the personnel he has...
