re:May on Walker

Peter May goes (relatively) easy on Walker:

Walker had a horrific first half, going 1 for 11 from the field. But he
took maybe two ill-advised shots. He ended up going 5 of 17 from the
field with 6 rebounds (1 in the second half), 1 assist, 1 steal, and 3
turnovers. Ouch. In addition, this marked the third game this season
(out of eight) in which Walker has failed to get to the line. He's taken
34 3-pointers and 33 free throws.

''Let's not talk about me,'' Walker said. ''It's irrelevant.''

Then, of course, he did talk.

''I'm going to continue to play,'' Walker said. ''I'm going to continue
to shoot the ball, and I have the confidence. If I go 1 for 11, it's not
going to bother me. They were good shots. I just didn't make them. We've
got a team here.''

That was in evidence last night. The Celtics would have had trouble
winning a game like this before. Last night, they didn't let Walker's
off night keep them down. They simply looked elsewhere.
