I watched the game after ours last nite and through 3 quarters Mercer was 
leading the team in scoring (while the team was losing). He was 5 for 10 in 
shooting at that point.  In the 4th quarter Van Exel took over and even 
LaFrenz was hoisting up treys while Mercer stayed on the periphery and 
watched (although he did take 5 shots in the quarter - hitting only 1).  He 
actually did have a few rebounds and assists - even a couple of steals 
(although one "steal" was an errant Phoenix pass that hit him in the chest 
and startled him).

Actually the Nuggets won this game because Ryan Bowen - whose stat line shows 
nothing significant - totally disrupted Phoenix's game.
