I find Pitino's admission that they're working on a big trade, seemingly
involving Mercer, interesting. Couple that with the rumor that they're
trying to get back into the draft, and you have to wonder if they aren't
trying to pick up a player and a pick for Mercer. Might make sense,
especially if the Lorenzen Wright speculation is anything more than that.
Wright for Mercer doesn't seem like a fair deal, but Wright and the No. 4
pick for Mercer (and Battie?) doesn't seem bad. I don't think we really need
another young player, but if you can pick up a pick along with a veteran
player, it's a good deal.

Also, I hope we're concentrating on a power forward instead of a point guard
in trade talks. I'm not ready to give up on Anderson just yet, and I think
the need is greater at the 4 spot.
