I was in NY this weekend and the local Knicks fans have the same gripes
about their team as we have with ours....actually, someone said, "at least
you have Pitino."

Complaints heard:
- Van Gundy is not passionate enough
- the players are tuning him out
- Sprewell's shot selection is out of control (as is his game, but then,
that's his style)
- the Knicks suck, man!
- Ewing is old (hey, I've been pointing that out to them for years)
- we need an enforcer like Oakley (oh yeah, we HAD Oakley)

Sound familiar?

Another great sports quote heard recently: "the game doesn't create
character, it reveals character."
