Peter Vecsey Said, If The Celtics Trade Anyone...

It will be Ron Mercer.  Jim Baker in today's Herald quoted Vecsey from
the NBC telecast.  This makes sense, because according to
Michael Holley, who was on Channel 7 in Boston last night, Pitino
has twice shopped Mercer around.  Before last year's trading
deadline and prior to the past draft.  

Now the reason, Mercer is going to be available to be traded
is because Pitino, according to Vecsey will use the C's $2 million
exemption to sign a veteran power forward like Terry Cummings,
who is actually playing pretty well for the Warriors.  So Walker 
moves to SF; Pierce to big guard.

Now exactly whom or what Mercer will be dealt for, Vecsey didn't
say.  Perhaps he'll be packaged with Kenny for a big time 
point guard or maybe a decent point guard and a high draft pick.
