Aging centers

I've noticed that great centers seem to have great longevity in many
cases. Kareem was an effective player at age 40, wasn't he? I think
Parish was doing pretty good until around age 38. Ewing and Olajuwon
are still among the top centers in the game at age 36. Makes me fear
that the Celtics will be battling Mourning for a long time. It also
makes me wonder how long David Robinson could play. I recall that 
Walker for Robinson was quite a popular rumor some time back.
