RE: For Walker Haters and Vin baker lovers.
Oh goodness, for all that Cato is, at a low post position, I could never see
a trade for our Mercer for their Cato. What I mean by this is that Mercer
could and should be an all-star, where Cato is most likely a serviceable 4/5
at best. IF we had an additional option in the 2/3 area, which might have
come with a great draft (fat chance) then maybe as Mercer could then be at a
more expendable position. This requires moving AW to the 3 and having
Battie/Cato play solid at the 4, with VP, etc. obviously succeeding at the
5.
Would I trade Mercer for Cato, no, but if I was more interested in seeing
the Blazers win a title and dump Rider (a world class hood) then by all
means yes. He and Jackson could win a title for Portland for sure, (as long
as Denny in LA decides to continue to blow off his "team" which we all know
is a given.

Greg what do you think of a Mercer for Kelvin Cato deal ? Cato seems to be
the odd man out with Wallace & Grant, could he give us some rebounding &
shotblocking at the 4 spot so we could move Walker to the 3 ?
