my four cents on the trade

I like it.  Potapenko is a big, mean, nasty player.  He reminds me of that
boxer who always gets disqualified for punching below the belt.  The
Celtics need some of that.  This guy hurts people when he sets picks.
Does he fit the system?  NO.  But I'm hoping that this indicates that
Pitino doesn't really intend to use the system (ie trapping and pressing)
in the long term.  We need to go back to man to man defense as quickly as
possible.  Most NBA point guards are way to talented to succumb to
trapping and pressing.  Potapenko should be a great fit, IF Battie can
develop into a Theo Ratliff quality 4.

The next priority is to address the point guard position during the off
season.  Has anyone noticed that we now have the worst starting point
guard (with the possible exception of Charlie Ward) in the division?

Maybe we could trade Kenny and Pierce/Mercer for Jason Kidd?

The only way this trade could hurt us is if Cleveland takes the pick this
year when we could have used it to draft Andre Miller.
