If Potapenko is what you say, then I wouldn't hesitate to give up
Andrew, and probably the draft pick too. But is he a legitimate
starting center? I don't think so. You say he's huge, but you really
mean he's a load. He's only 6'10", and not athletic. He doesn't
rebound or block shots. Don't single out a few of his better games, it
means nothing. I don't see how you can call him a legit post scorer.
He's shown very little offensively. He's been starting for a while and
hasn't shown that he can rebound. That's a serious downside. About all
you can expect from him is that he can deny position better than the
current center platoon. Well, that's something, but it's not
everything. And how tradeable is he going to be after he signs his next
contract and instead of being the promising backup, he's the overpaid,
undertalented, big stiff?
I sure hope tonight's game is going to be better than the last few, but
somehow I'm not real confident.
