Sporting news article



Was this the mystery article?  If there's going to be a trade, could it 
at least be for a real center?  They're already valling VP a power 
forward.  If all we're getting is another out of place PF, why bother?

The Cavaliers face a conundrum with Vitaly Potapenko. On one hand, 
they'd prefer not to meet the power forward's asking price of $6 million 
per season. On the other, if the Cavaliers allow him to leave as a free 
agent, they will lack the ability to sign a comparable replacement, with 
the contracts of Zydrunas Ilgauskas, Shawn Kemp, Danny Ferry, Derek 
Anderson, Brevin Knight, Wesley Person and Bob Sura already pushing them 
over the 1999-2000 salary cap. . . .
