Potapenko Is Represented By David Falk...

And the rumors were that he was headed to the Bulls after
the season as a free agent signing. However, Pitino has a
good relationship with Falk, so the C's have a better chance
of re-signing him than Cleveland did, not that that they
were planning to do so any ways, since they've apparently drawn the
line on anymore Mega-deals.

In the worst case scenario, the C's will end up with nothing
but the availibility of Potapenko's cap space. A somewhat
steep price for what most likely will be a lottery pick.
There also may be further chemistry problems, because
Potapenko is going to want to get his shots during the game
-- after all he's on a salary drive --
as will ball-hoggedy Antoine, Mercer, Pierce and Anderson,
so there may be a period of adjustment.

Another period of adjustment may occur because there will have
to be a realization among the core players that they finally
have a CENTER. Throughout the Pitino era, the center position
has been an afterthought, so this will be somewhat of a new
experience for the team. They are not use to playing with a
legitimate center, and with this being such a young club
with problems surfacing left and right, it will take time
to incorporate Potapenko into the system.
