Re: McCarty question

Okay...

You want a perfect comparison to a player like Walter McCarty but one who has an
established name already to compare him with??

Well, the closest resemblance that I can come with off the top of my head is that
he is a slightly taller version of Utah's Bryon Russell. Hes an all-round player
who will bring the excitement, tenacity, enthusiasm, athleticism and most of all
energy to the floor each and every time he steps out there.

In 16 to 20 minutes a game I wouldn't be checking the box score for anything that
Walter does. He isn't a stat sheet player. In fact hes a fantasy owners night
mare. He wont give you very good numbers, perhaps 5 to 10 points, 3 or 4 rebounds
and coupled with that perhaps a steal and a block.

The thing to look for when hes on the floor however is how many touches his direct
opponent recieves while being defended by McCarty. I would dare say that it is
close to half as much as when hes not guarded by a player like Walter, unless of
course we're talking about a major athlete or competitor such as MJ, but hell you
dont see many of them in the league.

Cheers,

Warwick.
