McCarty question

   A really dumb question:  what is McCarty's job with the Cs?  I'm pretty
sure he's not a scorer.  I read about "energy" and "enthusiasm" and the like.
Is he a banger?  Rebounder? What is it he does with so much energy and
enthusiasm?  What should  I look for in the box score to see if he has done
his job?  Remember, the only Cs news I get is from this list, the Globe online
stuff and the occasional network game I can watch.
