I know who it is....

Hey all,

The surprise guard that Rick Pitino has fallen in love with and will
acquire from this draft does not play on the left coast. He was born and
raised on the left coast, but played in another Western NCAA Division.

The player is none other than Andre Miller.

Height - 6'2"
Weight - 203 pounds
Position - Point Guard
Age - 23 (March 19, 1976)
Birthplace: Los Angeles, California.

The very first thing that Jay Bilas' expert analysis on ESPN.com wrote
is exactrly why Rick Pitino wants him in his unit. I'll cut and paste
the entire analysis.

"Andre Miller is the best leader in the draft. He is a big, strong point
guard that gets the job done with his smarts and his physical style. He
does not have great quickness, but has a very good handle and a decent
first step that allows him to get a shoulder into the defender, clearing
a path into the lane and allowing him to finish. He is an outstanding
rebounder for a guard, and has the ability to penetrate, pitch or pull
up and hit the intermediate range shot.

Miller pushes the ball upcourt and can find open people or take it all
the way and finish. He is a good defender that can guard big or small
guards. Miller has proven to be a floor leader and winner at every stage
of his college career, and will be a very good pro because he can handle
the physical nature of the game. The questions: Can he develop a
consistent perimeter shot? Does he have the speed and quickness to be an
effective penetrator in the NBA?"

Cheers,
