Mitch Lawrence: Mercer for Stackhouse

Mitch Lawrence: "Latest Ron Mercer rumor: To the Pistons for Jerry
Stackhouse in a sign and trade deal." Lawrence also mentions that
Dale Davis is on the trade block.  He would seem to be a better
fit than Stackhouse. Hell, Charlotte's looking to move Anthony
Mason - He would seem to fill a greater need than Stackhouse.

However, it's not like Jerry Stackhouse is a stiff, and Pitino
has shown the ability to get the most out of his players. 
But for every Dana Barros or Dee Brown, there's a Pervis Ellison
and Kenny Anderson...

Stackhouse stats:  .371 FG% = yikes.  .278 3PT% = Yikes.
He can shoot free throws though: .850; Averaged 14.5 points,
2.8 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 28.5 minutes of playing time.
