Also, Pierce was on a losing team, a team that did not get BETTER with his
arrival. Unfortunately for him, it got worse. Toronto just missed the
playoffs and the Kings were in the playoffs - also factors. Vince Carter
was interviewed and he said that he was fortunate that his teammates let
him be in the spotlight and take shots at the end of the game. It also
didn't hurt that Carter is a high flying human highlight film.
