Johnny Joe and Jersey Red Reveal All

I'm listening to Sportsbeat on 790 AM in Providence right now,
and they're broadcasting from UMASS at the site of the Boston Summer
League for the next four hours.

Johnny Joe Idaho, who's Director of Celtics Team Services or something
like that is on  with Scott Cordischi and Jersey Red - and here's
what I've heard: 

- Pitino will be on with Jim Rome this week.

- Jersey Red said he told Rick to hire Johnny Joe, who has been in
charge of setting up the BSL thing for the Celtics.

- Johnny Joe says that Wayne Turner has been very good to great in
seven of the nine games so far - he does everything right; what
he does is win; needs an outside shot.

- Jersey says that an emerging star may be Tony Battie...

- Paul Pierce is lifting this summer and working out at the 
Health Point facility with his friends. He took all his teammates
out to dinner in LA; Johnny Joe says he's a laid-back kid... 

Walt Szczerbiak, Wally's father said his son's first impressions of
Kevin McHale were very favorable. Walt's at the BSL scouting talent for
the Spanish League.....
