Re: Pinto interview

Actually, I don't find Pitino interviews to be irritating or slick (as much as
I am more than willing to view him critically). You have to admit he comes
across mostly as both candid and sincere, albeit un-freaking-believably glib.
He was born with the Clintonesque gifts of a great car salesman, but there's
still a large difference between talking fast and being a phony. I'll feel
very bad for Pitino if he fails as an NBA coach (the guy worked 18-20 hours a
day trying to win last season), even if I question the effectiveness and
despise the aesthetics of "don't think, just execute" Pitino-ball.

Joe

p.s. I was hoping Mercer will play in Boston next week. Is that not the case?
I'm not sure if he even suited up for Master P's Fi-La-La entry (I had been
checking Master P's game stats out of curiosity). In Boston, I'd also like to
see Battleship Potapenko keep getting more minutes in referreed games, until
he finds the right balance of how aggressive he can play without fouling out.
Isn't Larry Legend supposedly going to coach the Pacemaker's entry?
