I like the thought of replacing Antoine Walker with a true post-up threat
(although not necessarily Vin Baker).  With this type of player
commanding defensive attention in the low post, the perimeter games of
Mercer and Pierce would be an even more significant facet of the
offense than is true currently, as teams would be wary of doubling
down for fear of giving up wide open 18 footers to Ron or 3-pointers to
Paul.

I'm not clear on this trade business about Walker, though.  Isn't Baker a
free agent?  So why wouldn't the Celtics look to sign him rather than
trade for him, aside from potential cap limitations?  Or is Seatlle looking to
sign-and-trade Baker for Walker?
