Tidbits from 68 Sports Night

Hey,

Just some random tidbits from Butch Stearns on channel 68 sports
night. For those who don't know 68 will be carrying the away games
and every night @ 10:00pm they have a 30mins sports show. It seems
like they've had some great coverage of the C's the last couple 
nights, probably to try and recover the Basketball audience they
were hoping to get. 

Anyway, here's what I got:

1. As, we've heard, Stewart and his agent were in Boston last night
and were apparently disappointed with Toronto's offer. (Pitino of
course denied anything)

2. They mentioned that Popeye, had been a done deal for monthes. They
even interviewed Popeye and he talked about how he loved Rick for giving
him the shot when he was hurt and loved Shaun Brown.

3. Expect Antoine to be signed very soon, not after the season.

4. Paul Pierce and Antoine, apparently were going head-to-head big time
at yesterday's scrimmage. Supposedly Pierce held his own and drove pretty
effectively on Toine. Not sure if that means PP is that good or Toine
would be terrible defending the 3-spot. Probably a little of both.

5. Best of all! Saw an awesome highlight of PP with a quick one dribble
move from the baseline, going up front of the rim and dunking one-handed
windmill over someone.

Based on 4&5, I hope PP sticks around.
