The supposed deal in place is Clark and Johnny Taylor for Denver's first round
pick. Normally, that would be a pretty high pick, but since the Nugs just
signed McDyess, and also have added Van Exel, LaFrentz, Eric Williams and
Chauncy Billups since last season, they will not lose anywhere close to as
many games this year as they did last year. 

To match this offer, if that's even possible at this late date or something
Pitino would want to do, we would have to absorb Taylor's salary (app. $1
million, expires I believe at the end of this season) and of course whatever
Clark would make, say in the neighborhood of $1.4 million. We can't do this
without moving someone like Popeye or Battie. Me, I would trade one of those
guys (especially Battie) for Keon Clark, if he's really all Chris Wallace said
he is. But I doubt they'll make that deal.
