McDyess A Nugget
Antonio McDyess just held a press conference locally and announced he will
not return to the Suns. Colangelo was really bummed in his interviews today
and intimated that the change of Agents by Antonio was the major factor in
his going to the Nuggs. Evidently last year McDyess old agent Arn Tellum
assured Jerry that Antonio would resign without question as long as the
money was right. He said Tom Gugliotta is who they are looking at to
replace Mcdyess. Later Mike

For Antonio McDyess, you can go home again. After
spending his first two seasons with the Denver Nuggets, the
free agent forward will return with a six-year, $67 million
contract. The deal will likely have an out clause after five
years. The Phoenix Suns, who considered McDyess as their
top priority, have now turned their attention to forward Tom
Gugliotta. The Suns will have to contend with the Minnesota
Timberwolves and the Los Angeles Lakers, who are also
pursuing Gugliotta.
