I used to watch Battie play in college, and the answer is we need him
because he may turn out as good or better than Raef Lafrentz.

He dominated the frontcourt of Lafrentz, Pollard, Pierce.
Leaping, timing, aggressiveness, scoring.

A big part of the effectiveness of the 80's Celts, was no one
scored inside against Mchale & Parish, without being challenged.
It would be refreshing to have Battie, and Stewart in the same
lineup when the pressure D breaks down.
