Lowering Expectations

It seems that Pitino is lowering fan expectations in regard to the Celtics
this season and that is smart, but may hurt already suffering ticket sales.
I heard him say that this year is a non-entity as far as being pivotal in
their plans. He reiterated his long term plan which calls for the Celtics
to reach the playoffs next year.

Reality check...he's right.

Question: In the long run, was it better or worse for the Celtics to
experience this lockout?
eg. other teams are that much older, but for the Celtics, getting older is
a good thing.
