Trade time

I've been watching the list for awhile now and I figured I'd chime in
after reading all the current trade discussions. After listening to
today's pathetic loss to the Wizards it is perfectly clear who must
go. Cyber 'toine. Yes I know, he is a 20/10 guy, however here are
some reasons he should go.

1) I have never seen more stupid shots by a player in all my life! I
mean, does he think half of those bricks he throws up are going in?
2) Because of reason #1 he is a total momentum breaker. Everytime
the Celts start to get some momentum he will toss up a stupid 3 or
turn it over, not once, but multiple times.
3) What a cry baby if he doesn't get the ball. The tantrum he threw
today was totally uncaptain like. Early in the game Kenny set up
'toine 2 times for easy layups and he missed them both. Even
Cornbread said it does get any easier. No wonder Kenny didn't pass
him the ball any more. Apparently, he doesn't recognize he is having
a bad shooting day and try and do other things that he can do well,
like rebound.
4) And for god sakes pass the ball! How many times does he come up
the floor with wing men and tries to ram it through 2 defenders
instead.

All of the above are caused by his giant ego. Did anyone notice in
the Miami game, late in the 3rd when the Celts scored like 12 in a
row, Antoine was yelling and celebrating? Popeye came over and said
hey don't celebrate yet, we have a quarter to go. He is not mature
enough to be Captain plain and simple. I don't think he is going to
be able to deal with it when Pierce emerges as the real star of the
team. As I said before, he is a 20/10 guy but so was Bird, and so is
Pierce (almost), but they play within the game and are much smarter
players.

Now, who should he be traded for? A legit big man no doubt. Would I
trade him for Mutumbo straight up? In a heartbeat. Forget Wright or
Dampier, we'd just be taking on more junk. Wright is just another big
ego head case and his stats so far are hardly worthy of the money he
was asking for.

Right now we have 2 smart players in Mercer and Pierce, our Jordan and
Pippen. Kenny will do fine at the point if he's not asked to
consistently put up 18 points a night. He is a penetrator and an
assist man, not an outside shooter. Battie and Popeye are fine at
power forward. We need a good center and we need one bad.
