FW: WABU's coverage

I hope the attached reply from WABU's Programming Manager Ann Lootens is
useful to stranded Celtics fans on this list who, like I, have neither WABU
on their cable system nor DirecTV.

To all the Celtics Fans:

Our Celtics affiliate line up is as follows:

Albany: WVBG Ch 25 (along with the satellites in Easton and Manchester)
Bangor: WBGR: Ch 27
Boston: WABU Ch 68, WNBU Ch 21 (Concord, NH) and WZBU Ch 58 (Vineyard
Haven,
MA)
Burlington: WBVT Ch 38 and WWBI Ch 27 (they alternate coverage of the
games)
Portland: WPME Ch 35
Providence: WZBU Ch 58 in Bristol Cty, WLNE Ch 48, Cox Cable and Full
Channel
Cable

We had a deal with Media One in Springfield, but Fox Sports claimed
exclusive
cable rights and we were unable to do a deal with a cable system. All of
the
stations in Springfield (Channels 65,22, and 40) have been contacted and
none
are interested in carrying the games.

Direct TV will be carrying all of the away games that we have except :
Feb 21, March 14 and May 3.

We will continue to work on stations in Springfield, Hartford and Berkshire
County.
