Re: Miami herald profile Of Pitino And Slow Celtic Progression

In the first paragraph the author mentions that it is Pitino's 3rd
season..how is that? Also he gives example of how Riley and Parcells took
their teams to playoffs mudh quicker. Obviously he forgets that Riley
inherited a team that two years before his arrival had made the playoffs..so
it couldn't have been that sub-par after all.

Parcells on the other hand had great success in his 2nd year with the Jets,
but his 1st year as a coach was not that great, not to mention it took him
four years to take the Patriots to playoffs. By the way, what is up with
Miami journalists, they never have anything good to say about the C's. Last
year it was about Walker <i.e. selfish player, turnover prone, knuckle head
<hey! not one good word about his talent>>, and yet there beloved coach
wanted give away PJ + Mash to have him. I don't really remember, if all the
articles that I have read in Miami Herald, are from the same guy but if it
is , then his assessment of C's progress seems anything but balanced. -
