10. Celtics are capped out.  Unable to sign a
quality free agent center.

9. Pierce ain't going anywhere.  Best Celtic 
player since LB.

8. Celtics can replace Mercer with their draft
pick. 

7. A sizeable number of small forwards/shooting guards should be
available in the draft:  
Lamar Odom, Shawn Marion, Wally Sczcerbiak, Jumaine Jones, Richard
Hamilton, Chris Porter,
and Quincy Lewis to name a few.

6. Antoine is a small forward and the C's
already have one in Pierce.

5. If you traded Mercer, you could move Pierce 
over to shooting guard.

4. Centers that may be available in the upcoming draft are
questionable: Eschmeyer: Too slow?  MacCulloch: Does he dominate
because of his 
size? Mihms: Will he even come out and is 
he too raw? Millard: Injury concerns; Haywood: 
Not ready; Collier: Needs another year; 
Pryzbilla: Needs two years; Wang ZhiZhi: Will
the Chinese goverment allow him to play in 
the NBA?  Tyrone Washington: Is he a middle
class Dampier?  Alvin Jones: A year away...

3. Kenny Thomas, he of the multi-dimensional
skills, will be a very good power forward at
the Pro level, and would make a fine Celtics
pick.

2. Elton Brand may shock the basketball
cognoscenti and be the first Dukey to come out
early.

1. I think the C's will luck out in the draft
this year and end up with the first pick and
Lamar Odom.
