BIG Country

For those who might have been curious about the playing status and
potential, based on my comments earlier in the week, chew on this from ESPN
(literally):

Hard to believe we had a "starting" center (TM) right in our hands and we
let him go.

"Really Big Country
Maybe Bryant Reeves needs a larger nickname than Big Country. Big Province?
Big Time Zone? Big Hemisphere?
Reeves has eaten himself out of a starting job with the Vancouver Grizzlies.
After showing up to training camp about 40 pounds over his playing weight of
last year, Reeves will likely be coming off the bench when the Grizzlies
open their NBA season at Sacramento on Sunday.
Reeves, the club's first draft pick, reported to camp at about 318 pounds.
He's reportedly shed about 15 pounds, but that still would put him about 25
pounds over where he was listed at the start of last year.
"I think he's moving in the right direction," coach Brian Hill said. "But we
still have a lot of work to do."
As a result, veteran journeyman Tony Massenburg , who started both
exhibition games last weekend, will get the job in the interim."
