RE:

That is the story they are telling the press in Michigan. The money they had to
fork out to get Laetner and Vaught as well as whatever other dollars they had
already spent on Bison Deli, Grant Hill, Dumars (who has to play for $1 million
dollar exception), Stackhouse, etc... took them over the cap when they tried to
sign Wells. I have to think it is true, especially if Dumars is playing for an
exception of $1 mill. Leatner was an expensive pickup for a guy who can't play
until late April or may.

They couldn't fit a top 15 draft pick under the cap? Is this a reality, as
I would assume the brand new and improved cba deal would never allow for
this oversight.

IF this is true or the real reason, then the Pistons are one STUPID freaking
basketball organization, and the Blazers are damn lucky or the Pistons owed
them a favor from some previous deal.

Too bad the Celts couldn't have floated a 2nd rounder out there for a stud
like this and potential future all-star. They aren't worth a piss anyway
right (Jeff Sheppard)? Oh well, none of our guards are prone to injury and
of course we wouldn't want to make a deal of any kind with a team like the
Pissers, Knacks, Sixers or Fakers. Hell hasn't frozen over yet, am I right
Joe.

Paul Allen, and Trader Bob sure know how to swing the sweet deals, aka
Damon.

The Pistons didn't have a choice. They couldn't fit him under the cap
anymore
when the signed Laetner and Loy Vaught.
