Maybe he's trying to prove a point that if he gives other players perfect
laydown passes or kick and dishes to them for open looks they darn sure
better make them or else he'll take it himself.

In the first quarter tonight, he laid down three beautiful passes to V at
point blank range and V muffed all three. He also dropped off a pretty pass
to Antoine for a wide open look from about 12 feet on the left baseline and
Antoine clanked it. He then reversed a pass to Adrian on the right wing for a
wide open look and Griffin clanked it. Count 'em. That's 5 sweet passes that
nobody was able to convert on and that was only in the first quarter alone.

In the 3rd quarter, he dropped a pass down into Battie at point blank range
and Battie blew it.

At least 6 passes tonight that even if the C's only convert at 40% that adds
at least 2 more assists to his totals and it easily should have been three
(or more) dimes. No wonder Kenny doesn't average more assists than he does.

He also played a strong defensive game against Van Exel and kept him bottled
up all night and managed to sink a couple of key FTs late in the game to seal
the deal.

Kenny has warts to his game but he's been taking a lot of heat for the C's
recent losing streak that isn't justified. Thank goodness the losing streak
is now over and the C's can start to climb back into the playoff hunt with a
little winning streak on the new parquet floor on Monday night.

Happy New Year y'all .
