another thought on "what we need"

Don't you folks think that the C's are always going to struggle around the 
6-8 playoff spot (I wish they were there now!!) unless they are willing to 
pay out the nose the way other teams are willing to do?  Look at our old 
rival the Lakers.  They never fell as far at the C's when "showtime" broke 
down.  They went out and spent incredible amounts of money, some hit and 
some miss.  Right now they look like the team to beat for a championship.

My fear is that Gaston has told Pitino "you can spend the big money on your 
one superstar, but everybody else better be at the lower end of the salary 
scale.

With today's generation of players, the only thing that will bring them to 
Boston is big money.
