the 1980's incarnation of Johnnie Most either to be honest, although he at least
had an un-phony sounding voice. He was a bit too bombastic and a bit too fiddling
and diddling in his unimaginative repertoire. Neither guy seemed to know anything
more about the game of basketball than, say, a Brent Musberger. I guess that's the
extent of my complaint. I know that dissing Johnnie Most is a faux pas, but I
prefer announcers who will meander into undistilled "coach talk" when describing
individual players and will diagram or describe in great depth certain plays that
best describe each team's character.
