In Defense of Walker

Even though his game is suffering from many standpoints, he is not getting
half the calls in his drives from the refs. After watching every game so
far, he should be getting  to the line 5-6 times per game. It's
unbelievable to watch. It seems the refs are concentrating on perimeter
stuff and the initial pass inside and not at all on the act of shooting
inside. Walker's is constantly bumped and hit on or before his releases
without calls. 

It's time for Pitino to really start making a stink about the problem. Get
thrown out of more games and make his point. Eventually it will wear in. I
think it is part of his overall problem of being inconsistent and quick on
his shots. He hasn't won any popularity contests with the refs but would
you want one for an Xmas party? Tommy Heinsohn is bleeding because of the
lack of calls. Heinsohn is a little overzealous, but not that much. I wish
Pitino would play back some of his game comments and put them to use.
