Chicago wanted Cheaney to be a backup shooting guard to Brent Barry. Maybe that's the position he'll play for us. He's the same height as Ron Mercer (I know he has nowhere near the skills though) If we got him for the 2mil exception I think it's a pretty good deal, but there might have been someone better out there.
