Interesting comment on Clark. That was my impression of him too, once I saw pictures of him. I dont see him ever able to put on the beef to be a full-time NBA center, but he could certainly be a serviceable shotblocking specialist a la John Salley (or Ratliff). I guess my interest in him has been re-piqued (?) by all the GM chatter about his passing & ballhandling skills, general athleticism etc. Thanks for contributing some much-needed, non-Osama-referenced basketball news.

Everyone,

Well, I have a bit of b-ball news to report. This past weekend there was a
charity basketball game sponsered by our local CBA franchise the Grand
Rapids Hoops. Becuase of the lockout no huge names showed up, but two people
of interest to me and I think to this list did show up. Keon Clark and
Charles "Bo" Outlaw played in the game.

I think I've read on this list in the past how people wanted to trade for
Keon because he could be the defensive force that the C's are mising.
Seeing this guy in person really makes me doubt that. Keon walks around on
two toothpicks for legs and I think he has a problem with his left knee since he had quite the knee brace on it. He was very athletic, but I think will end up like Shawn Bradley, on the floor every time he gets bumped. During the course of the game, he gaurded "Tractor" Traylor and was just
destroyed underneath by the Tractor, even though Keon has at least 3
possibly 3.5 inches on the Tractor. In the end, I stick with DQ and Travis,
at least they have some weight to push people around.
