Players press conference

As I was watching parts of the players press conference I started to
laugh. There was Ewing, Howard and Mourning in particular standing there
listening to Hunter espousing concern about the owners not being fair to
the players. I thought I would throw-up, just thinking that these 3 guys
that play about 100 games per year and are making $11 million dollars
plus per year are for all intents and purposes are on strike because
those BASTARD owners haven't been fair. I think seeing them in their
$1000 suits complaining is quite laughable. I think an average salary of
about $3 million is quite fair, BUT it is that average because their are
a few pigs on every team that threaten to leave for another team like a
Ewing or Mourning so the team has to put their salary structure out of
whack at the expense of their teammates and to satisfy their fan base.
Teams can't keep their teams intact unless they pay outrageous salaries
to a very few. If the Bulls want to keep their Championship team
together they will have to pay Jordan $35 mill, Pippen $20 million and
Rodman $12 million and the rest of their 9 players about $20 million.
How can any team stay in Business with that kind of salary structure.
Their ticket prices would have to average about $100 per ticket and that
should make all Bull season ticket holders real happy.
I get the impression that most season ticket holders for the most part
will be happy if the owners cave in on the lockout but I also think most
season ticket holders will not be happy when their ticket prices get
raised again next year. Personally, I would love to see the owners go to
Tahiti, Hawaii or somewhere and when the players start grumbling among
each other, (which they surely will after they miss a couple of
paychecks) and are ready to come to their senses, then come back to
negotiate a new contract.
The longer the strike goes the better for the PAYING fan and better for
the FUTURE of the game. No question about it.

Hart
