More Kidd stuff.

I agree Pitino would make the deal in a heartbeat...and he'd be wrong. I
also heard that Phoenix was re-considering their lust for Pippen because of
his injury. And in any case, for the Celtics to get full value out of
Pippen, that is, for Pippen to take this team to the playoffs without
Walker, he'd have to play a ton of minutes, and rebound and shoot a whole
lot more than he did for the Bulls or than he'd have to for the Suns. If
the Suns pick up Pippen, he can play a much more limited role, because of
their talent, and he gets them a lot farther. In other words, given his
injury, and his age, it seems to me that Pippen helps a very good team like
Phoenix a whole lot more than he helps a mediocre team like the Celtics.
Does this make sense? Also...a nucleus of Walker, Pierce and Mercer sounds
a whole lot better than a nucleus of Kidd, Pierce and Mercer. And the
Clipper power forwards? Pretty mediocre at best. But...all that's just my
opinion.
